In Ireland


Now I was told by my grandmother Esther, that the family came from County Cork in Ireland. There were three brothers in the textile industry. Two came to America. One of them was Patrick Mahoney, my great great grandfather. He settled in Wilkes Barre Pa. with his wife Helen. It was there he established Mahoney & Co., a mercantile store.
